Beijing’s municipal authorities have laid out an ambitious blockchain development strategy through 2027, directly linking distributed ledger technology to artificial intelligence, healthcare, education, and financial services. The plan, co-authored by multiple agencies including the Beijing Municipal Science and Technology Commission, calls for building digital infrastructure around trusted blockchain systems.

The initiative aims to establish more than 20 benchmark applications across critical domains such as AI model development, insurance services, and digital identity management. National blockchain hub nodes and technical service platforms will form the backbone of this infrastructure push.
